DuBois Park

DuBois Park

October 7, 2021

There are several attractions at DuBois Park, which is spread across 700 acres in Jupiter and includes things like: a zoo and botanical garden, an amphitheater, a water park, a rope course, and even a nature center. Annual memberships are available at the park, which entitle members to unlimited use of the facilities.

This theme park is named for Hugh DuBois, a former chief financial officer of Disney, in whose honor the park's amphitheater, zoo, aquarium, and botanical gardens are all dedicated. The park first opened its doors in November 2004.

DuBois Park offers a complimentary 90-minute shuttle service to and from Palm Beach International Airport. The ride will take approximately 25 minutes to complete. The master plan for DuBois Park, which is worth $8.5 million and was approved in December 2002, was originally approved in December 2002. There are plans to build a hotel in the area. 13 themed attractions are included in the master plan, along with 800 hotel rooms, a 200-room luxury hotel, a conference center, and several restaurants. A water park is also planned for DuBois Park, according to the developers.

During Hurricane Wilma, which hit the area on September 10, 2005, a portion of DuBois Park was flooded, and zoo animals were forced to be evacuated. The zoo reopened three days after it had been closed. The zoo was closed in early November 2006 as DuBois Park underwent major renovations. On November 29, 2006, the zoo reopened its doors to the public.
