Stuart Heritage Museum

Stuart Heritage Museum is a neighborhood history gallery in Stuart, Florida. The exhibition hall is housed in a memorable 2-story construction that was worked on in 1901 by George W. Parks. During the mid 1900s, the ground floor filled in as a much-cherished basic food item and general product store. The subsequent floor was Parks' living quarters.

Stops in the end sold the store, and it became Stuart Feed Supply until at long last shutting down in 1982. In 1988, the City of Stuart bought the structure on Flagler Avenue to ensure the old structure and use it to save the legacy, antiques, and history of Stuart and close by networks.

Today, the Stuart Heritage Museum houses endless relics and photographs showing a brief look into the life, agribusiness, and local area of Martin County during that recorded period. You'll encounter history waking up when you open the entryway and step onto the first creaky wooden floors.

You'll discover the displays helpfully spread out in sequential request. They start with life-sized figures of Seminole Indian women (the first occupants of the space) in their bright beaded dresses and caps. You'll at that point run over many antique ordinary things like old phones, gas ovens, baths, and fridges from the 1920s, just as Victorian sitting seats.

The Stuart Heritage Museum is open every day from 10 am to 3 pm, with free section. Volunteers work there and are accessible to respond to any inquiries and clarify the shows and antiques.

Just as being a gallery, the structure fills in as a necessary piece of the local area in Stuart. Each Wednesday, there is a free "Old folks Social." This people group occasion invites the more youthful public to talk with the more seasoned age in Martin County who grew up closer to these occasions.
